What to Expect When You Call or Visit FSAP

Individual and Family Services

When you call for your first appointment at FSAP, the receptionist will ask you some basic questions about your concerns and availability to come in for an appointment. When you report for the first session, you will meet with a professional counselor who will complete an assessment, with your help, to determine the appropriate next steps. The first session will be approximately 50 to 75 minutes. The meeting with your counselor occurs in a quiet, confidential office setting--much like a regular doctor’s office visit. Together, you and your counselor will work out the best treatment plan to address your concerns. This may include referrals to other health care providers or community resources.
