Focus on Physical Activity
With summer upon us, now is a great time to focus on physical activity. As an Emory employee, you have many opportunities to help you be active.
Across Emory, there are a number of facilities available, which provide convenient ways to add activity to your day. On the Clifton Campus, you can join the Woodruff PE Center or Blomeyer Health Fitness Center (employee-only facility). Make the short trip over to the Clairmont Campus to enjoy the fantastic options, like the outdoor pool and tennis courts, at the Student Activity & Academic Center (SAAC). Oxford employees can take advantage of the Williams Gym and many Emory hospitals and other facilities have onsite fitness rooms.
Another fun way to get active is by walking. Grab a co-worker and explore the tunnel, take a stroll at Lullwater, try the new walking trails at Emory Saint Joseph's or create your own route near your workplace. Prefer to walk with a group? Join an upcoming group hosted by Emory Health & Wellness, or your departmental wellness champion.
Don't forget that you can connect with a health coach from Aetna via telephone to provide you the support you need-- and doing so can earn you a $100 health plan incentive! Remember to complete your Compass Online Health Assessment to receive your incentive.
However you choose to move, Emory supports you in your efforts!
